My name is Raul Soria Jr., a heavy metal-obsessed music/editorial photographer and graphic designer specializing in event photography and print design, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. For the last 10 years, I've done everything from hang off the side of buildings in Downtown Honolulu to visiting some of Hawai'i's most haunted places at midnight to get my image.
I've also helped promote Hawai’i’s local music scene and national touring acts through my various blog, zines and misc. publications that I’ve helped create.
I have an AS degree in Communication Arts from Honolulu Community College, have a long history of martial arts and fear no pit ninja.
My work has appeared in Abstract Magazine, Whole Foods Market, The 808 SceneZine, Hawaii Business News, MetroHNL, Summit Magazine HI, Vagabundo Magazine and FiveonFive Roller Derby Magazine.
I’ve also had public art installations at Spalding House Cafe and Borders Books & Music and have spoken about my work PechaKucha’s 20x20 event.
